Top 25 Android apps: The best of the best
Read more at www.zdnet.comThe Android Market may not have as many apps as the iPhone App Store yet, but there are still enough to be overwhelmed, and it’s growing at a breakneck pace. To help you sort through them all, here’s my list of the best apps I’ve found on Android. Again, remember that this is a snapshot in time. The Android platform is developing so quickly right now that I guarantee my home screen look different a month from now.
Anne's out-patient surgery went well. The surgeon said that the tumor is actually 2cm, not the 1cm that he'd thought from the PeTscan. Anne had said that her radiologist warned her that it was too soon after her radiation treatments and that the images wouldn't be accurate.
Anne went to the doctor's yesterday and Julie went with her as I thought the appointment was for today. So, I was at work when she was told that the biopsy revealed the tumor was malignant. I really needed to be there, but wasn't, and I'm sorry. If someone you love is going to be given such harrowing news, please be sitting next to them when it happens. There's no way to re-do it later.
Dr. Lim is going to have to do "the big surgery". This means he will be opening her up and see what else, if anything, is affected. Whatever is in contact with the cancer will have to come out. He'll be doing the surgery with a robotic system called the "da Vinci Robotic Surgical System" so as to be as minimally invasive as possible. (See below for links) This will reduce the time necessary for recovery.
The recovery will be a minimum of 1 week in the hospital afterwards and possibly 2-3 weeks. This all depends on how much needs to be removed and what kind of reconstruction that entails. It's possible that she will lose her bladder and have to wear a bag. Needless to say, this is all very upsetting.
Last night we went to the store and picked up some ice cream. Then we watched Nights In Rodanthe while eating Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia. Anne wanted to watch something that would take her mind off things and I think it did give her some reprieve.
She didn't sleep well last night and this morning she doesn't want to get out of bed. So, I'm letting her sleep while I write this. I'm going in late so that I can be here when she gets up.
Please keep praying and sending the golden light of healing for her,
Don and Anne

Somebody posted a rant, but can't spell. BIG mistake. Now everyone knows what a loser that person is. The point? Learn to use a dictionary! Or, at least get spell check going...

The first thing most people do after buying an Apple iPad is head to iTunes and start downloading apps. But with thousands to choose from, where do you start. That is easy. Start with these 10 apps. Six of them are free, so there is no commitment there. The other 4 are well worth the money, I promise.

Shane is the kid that lives across the street. He's had a guitar for less than a year. Last night he came over to show me a song that he'd written and it was good! It had a basic form and told a story. I was blown away!
Become A Songwriter Right Now
Quit procrastinating by telling yourself you don't have what it takes to be a songwriter. You can! Here's the challenge. Give yourself a month, and I'll give you the beginner songwriting blueprint for success.
Songwriting is not rocket science. You just need to learn the foundation--the basics. This will set your songwriting in motion and all you have to do is provide your ideas for your songs.
As in any other career or vocation what you put in is what you get out. The great news is that anyone can learn songwriting rather quickly if they dedicate consistent time to practicing and studying their songwriting craft, for free! There are many songwriting articles on the web that can benefit a beginner to advanced songwriter but it's difficult to piece them together and actually learn if you've never written a song. This is why I created an article outlining a step-by-step beginner songwriting blueprint. Here is the condensed version so you can learn how to write songs quickly and effectively:
1. Pick Out A Song Title
2. Choose a Song Form
3. Figure Out A Rhyming Scheme As You Go
4. Sing The Title
5. Write The VersesRead more at ezinearticles.com
