Anne, day 11

Just a short note to let you know Anne's condition continues to improve. If she keeps this up, I'm hoping that she will get to come home earlier than the three weeks Dr. Lim originally predicted.   She's taking a walk three times a day, now. Her diet is almost normal, they're just watching her fiber intake and not feeding her things that might make her gassy. Also, they are keeping a close watch on mer glycemic index and she gets a shot if that rises above 200.   They've removed her epidural and she is on oral meds for pain management with injections when necessary. For the most part this has been OK, but last night wasn't. Apparently, her nurse last night was a "traveling" nurse. This nurse started out the night by telling Anne that she never works the same place twice!   Now, isn't that a big red flag to you? If I never got invited back EVERY PLACE I WENT, I'd have to ask myself "What's the common denominator here?" But, as I say, this nurse is like a fish in a fishbowl and can't see the situation like others see it. On the bright side, we'll never have to worry about seeing this one again!   Well, keep those prayers coming. They're giving Anne the strength she needs at this time! Don and Anne
